Camp Details & Dates
Tech Trek – Robotics, Game Making, Makerspace
Session I: Robotics & Makerspace

Dates: June 12-June 30, 2017

Times: Monday – Friday 9am – 1pm (lunch included) ​

Ages: 10 -15

What: Campers will learn how to build, program and command LEGO robot using their EV3 kit. In a fun hands-on with easy steps to follow the EV3 allows them to control robots that drive, shoot, slither, walk, slam, and spin – to name just a few of the actions that come with this robotics set.​ Campers will also have opportunities to put their creativity and inspiration to use in our Makerspace lab. Equipped with a 3D printer, construction kits, science kits, tools and software for game making and music recording they can create and produce their own masterpieces.

Session II: Video Production, Video Game Making & Makerspace

Dates: July 10- July 28, 2017

Times: Monday – Friday 9am – 1pm (lunch included)​

Ages: 13 – 18

What: Campers will learn to produce and edit videos. They will use these skill to capture the process of making a video game. Tools used are Lightworks or Adobe Premier, Stencil and/or Game Maker Studio. Youth will also experience using their creativity and inspiration in the KI Makerspace lab. Equipped with a 3D printer, construction and science kits, software for game making and music recording and other tools they can create and produce their own masterpieces.

Urban Ag –  Soil Science, Beekeeping, Makerspace

Dates:

Session 1 – June 12 to June 30, 2017

Session 2 – July 10 to July 28, 2017

Times: Monday – Friday 9am – 1pm (lunch included)​

Ages: 10 – 15

What: Campers through fun hands-on experiential activities will learn the science of soil, beekeeping, urban gardening and environmental awareness (how to identify food plants). Campers will work together to grow food using aquaponics and urban gardening to sell to CCFI gaining skills in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, math and planning. Youth will also experience using their creativity and inspiration in the KI Makerspace lab. Equipped with a 3D printer, construction and science kits, software for game making and music recording and other tools they can create and produce their own masterpieces.

Cost: $600 per camp, full scholarships available (apply below)
