Open Source Circular Economy Days DIY Workshop

Join us for a fun, family-friendly, hands-on activity. Let your creativity run wild. Use new or old pieces of material and items (quilt pieces, tablecloths, t-shirts, buttons, other items you bring) to make your own colorful, unique tote bag. Express yourself. It will truly be a work of art. This event is free and open to the public.

Please bring used or new pieces of material (linen, cotton, jute, other natural fibers) to make reusable cloth bags and totes. You can also bring worn cloth bags, tablecloths, kitchen towels, t-shirts, drapes, clothing to make new items. Or search for donations of reusable natural fiber packaging at local stores, such as burlap sacks and bags.

We are also looking for one or more volunteers who know how to make tote bags and would be willing to lead the participants through the steps of making their own bag. And we welcome help with cutting, sewing and decorating the cloth bags and totes. Please contact silvia.leahu.aluas@gmail.com if you would like to volunteer.
